This shot of the Norwegian Eagle was taken in a well known nesting area in Smøla, Norway. Smøla is located in Møre and Romsdal County on the West coast.
The wingspan of this Eagle can be up to 2.5 meters (8.2 feet).
It’s the largest bird in Northern Europe, and the fourth largest Eagle in the world.
This shot was taken as an Eagle was passing the photographer’s boat at a distance of 10 meters. The Eagle is split seconds away from capturing its prize. – Kjell E.
